Truth and Dare – Fairy Tales!

Once upon a time...

Once upon a time there was a young woman who had always dreamed of opening her own business. She had something BIG, and she knew she could serve the world.

One day she decided it was her time, and just like that she stood and claimed her place. She took the brave, bold, and courageous step and leapt from her corporate job into the unknown.

The fairy tale to overnight success was in her sights. She could see it all. Success awaited her. She could taste it. She would finally be able to travel when she wanted, to give her family wonderful gifts and trips. She wouldn’t have to work late into the evening anymore because her business would provide her freedom.

At times she asked herself why she had waited so long.

She built her beloved business one brick at a time. She did all the right things, or so she thought. And then she waited – and waited.

#Truth – Building the business is no guarantee they will come.

It wasn’t long before the exhaustion of trying to do anything and everything began to consume her life and all her relationships. Soon she was working 80+ hours a week, and yet she was unable to pay even herself.

#Truth – Many small business owners take no salary for up to two years and beyond.

She continued to give it her all. Along the way she met others in similar businesses who seemed to have it all.

So why not her?

She thought she had to do it alone. Sadly, two years later she shut her business down having exhausted her life savings, her relationships, and her health. Her business never did get off the ground.

#Truth – Many businesses close their doors in the first five years due to unforeseen challenges, under funding, and lack of awareness.

Although this fairy tale does not have a happy ending, yours can.

If you are stuck and feel like you are at your wits end, re-write your story with the ending you desire. I DARE YOU! #Double Dare!

Start with acknowledging the areas that you need help with, and realize doing so has already increased your chances of success tenfold. This applies in all areas of your business!

One mistake many entrepreneurs make is realizing the IMPORTANCE of team, access, community and resources. When I was a Vice President of a national company in Canada, one thing I knew for sure was those I surrounded myself with were the reason we were successful.

We absolutely do not need to do it alone, and nor should we. We do not need to know everything, and nor do we.

In the nineties we had to know it all, but that was so yesterday! Today more and more entrepreneurs are realizing that they do not need to know it all, they need to be able to access it all. With access, community, and knowledge we can do anything!

This is exactly why we hold live events. At our recent event I was again reminded of the power of the room to elevate results and create sustainable transformations.

Are you ready? Join us at our next event and move from BEST KEPT SECRET to SUCCESS in Life, Love and Business! It’s your time and your turn!

Don’t wait another day!
