Still Standing

I spent thirteen years riding what I call the Roller Coaster From Hell as a result of my daughter’s drug addiction. I rode that thing painfully up one hill and screaming down the next, terrified of what was around the next corner. At my lowest point, I made a decision that possibly saved my life. I decided to Stand Up and Fight!
I took my life back while a dark cloud hung over my heart. Very quickly I discovered there were Nine Actions I took to battle my own Codependent Enabler Beast.
Most people are living with some type of Beast. It is that situation, person, attitude or circumstance that has left you lost, defeated, frustrated, angry, hopeless and helpless, or living in paralyzing fear. The Nine Action to Battle Your Beast are powerful tools to help you stand up and reclaim your life.
The Nine Actions to Battle Your Beast will:
1.Help you to identify your Beast.
2.Guide you in using the Nine Actions to take down that Beast.
3.Bring out the Courageous Woman who lives inside of you.

I am Valerie Silveira. In 2004, my eighteen-year-old daughter was shot by her ex-boyfriend. Over the next decade, I would face the heartbreaking reality that Jamie became a heroin addict and the painful truth that I was powerless to save her from her Beast. At my lowest point, I made a decision that probably saved my life – I decided to Stand Up & Fight. The award-winning book, “Still Standing After All the Tears,” is being recognized as life-changing book for moms of addicts, and for others who are ready to fight.

I had my Beast under control, but in August 2016, he didn’t just knock on my door – it was a home invasion. My daughter had been murdered. Through the devastation of losing Jamie, of losing hope of her recovery, I fought to regain my courage, to stand up again, and that is just what I did.

No matter what you have been through, are living now, the Nine Actions could mean the difference between living, and really living!
